APAG Celebrates Our Two Year Anniversary

Today marks the two year anniversary of the Adult Performers Actors Guild. While we are still in our infancy stages, we are incredibly proud of the accomplishments we have achieved, and the numerous performers we have helped through their journey in the adult industry. From contract issues, labor disputes, safety concerns on set and off, along with performer outreach, we have worked tirelessly to ensure our members have a true source of performer advocacy.  With the creation of the Benz list, the performer checklist that allows performers to detail exactly what is expected of them during a scene, we have seen producers proudly use it to help protect their talent. The Benz List is named after famed actress Nikki Benz, after she spoke out against…

Sex workers speak out after Giuliani slams Stormy Daniels- ABC News

From ABCNews.com By KAELYN FORDE Jun 7, 2018, 5:45 PM ET Sex workers and adult film actors spoke out today as Rudy Giuliani doubled down on comments he made about Stormy Daniels, saying she has no “reputation” or “credibility” because of the work she does. “If you’re a [feminist] and you support the porn industry, you should turn in your credentials,” the president’s lawyer told CNN Thursday when asked about comments he made Wednesday. “I’m sorry I don’t respect a porn star the way I respect a career woman or a woman of substance or a woman who … isn’t going to sell her body for sexual exploitation,” Giuliani said during the conference in response to a question about whether President Trump respects women. Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie…

APAG Receives Clarification From THE CDC Regarding HIV Undetectable

From the Officers of the Adult Performers Actors Guild- Undetectable HIV has been the topic of debate for the union this week. As we expressed concern over performer safety and possible exposure to HIV while on set due to our outdated testing protocols, we were met with anger, hate, and were made aware of an apparent agenda to allow HIV Undetectable performers into our testing pool. The union expressed immediate concern due to the unnecessary risk others want to expose performers to. In November of 2017, we learned about our testing; advancements, how our tests work, and we discovered a hole. The test we currently use allows for HIV Undetectable performers to slide into our work force unnoticed because the test we use will not…

An Update Regarding Performer Abuse Allegations on Set From The Union

This month in the adult industry, the focus of performer welfare has shifted to on set abuse and allegations of rape. Different performers, some who are experienced actresses while another who was brand new to the industry, all described the abuse or consent issues in vivid detail to the world. Both situations became public via social media, however they way they were handled and the outcomes of each situation are very different. In the first situation, a video was posted on YouTube with performers sharing their experience with a specific male performer and director. During that investigation, the union spoke with the female performer involved, offering assistance and referrals. We then spoke in-depth with the producer/director involved, along with the company owner. The female performers…

APAG Opens Investigation Into Performer Allegations of Abuse On Set

The Adult Performers Actors Guild has initiated an investigation into recent allegations of on-set sexual assault and abuse. These allegations were made on social media by a female performer against the producer of the scene in question, and her male co-star.    The performer has also filed a police report. A second female performer has also made similar allegations against the same producer and male performer. APAG President Alana Evans has contacted the producer who has promised to fully cooperate with the investigation. As we move forward, we need to address immediate concerns that this brings to light. Fear of speaking out, fear of saying no, and the fear of losing a paycheck should never supercede your ability to say no. We need to empower…

ASK THE DOC- Be good to your colon and it will be good to you

Be good to your colon and it will be good to you Written By Dr. Jason Goldman While many people are embarrassed to talk about their colon, understanding how to maintain GI health is important for many reasons. The most obvious function is to concentrate waste material into stool, which is then passed out of the body. Recent studies suggest that the bacteria we have in our intestines contribute to how the body and immune system function. Certain key nutrients are produced by bacteria in our GI tract and we could not function normally without them. Unfortunately, many people do not take care of their health, especially their colon, and this can lead to serious problems. It is never too early to be good to…
