With the holiday season upon us, the Adult Performers Actors Guild is pleased to announce their second annual Helping the Homeless Holiday Drive. The concept of the drive began last year, with APAG President Alana Evans dedicating her Amazon wish list to items for those in need and delivering them to outreach services.
Last year our friends with Cams.com, ElevatedX, and YnotCams, along with numerous donors, helped us deliver items to those in need consisting of tents, sleeping bags, clothing, food, toiletries and more! The items were given to the Alpha Project of San Diego, an outreach organization that drives to areas where the homeless congregate to offer services and supplies necessary for survival on the streets.
This year the items we collect from the holiday drive will be donated to a shelter located in the heart of the homeless community of downtown Los Angeles. The facility is a continuous emergency shelter that helps single men, single women, single mothers with children, single fathers with children, two-parent families, as well as families with teenagers devasted by homelessness.
As we look for ways we can help our community during the holidays, we know all too well that many within our performer community are struggling to make ends meet. We are looking to also offer grocery store gift cards to performers, based on donations! If you would like to donate a holiday dinner to a performer in need, would like to sponsor the drive, or volunteer, contact members@apagunion.com
We will be collecting items and donations until December 22, 2019. To purchase items for our homeless drive, visit OUR WISH LIST.
