To be listed here, APAG requires all agencies to maintain a current license if required in their state of operation. Some may claim to be an agent, but without a proper license, they may only be a manager. Only an agent may book work for you, arrange casting calls, or negotiate deals. Managers are not allowed to do so. Managers are not licensed, regulated, or certified by any state organization to work with talent specifically. Most states require a background check in order to obtain a license, which is important to protect the safety of performers.
