We have compiled a list of companies that are providing measures to hopefully relieve people’s worries at this time. Phone/Internet
· AT&T: is suspending the termination of wireless, home phone, or broadband service if you can’t pay your bills, because of COVID-19 disruptions. The company is waiving related late fees. Providing free access to its public WiFI hot spots. Home internet wireline customers and fixed wireless internet customers will receive unlimited data
· COMCAST: is offering free access to its Xfinity WiFi hot spots for everyone, including non-subscribers, for the next 60 days. It’s also providing unlimited data to customers for no extra charge and is not disconnecting internet service or charging late fees for customers who can’t pay. New customers are being provided w/ free basic internet for the next 60 days.
· VERIZON: is waiving late fees and suspending service termination for customers
· T-MOBILE: Providing unlimited data to all current customers who have plans with data for the next 60 days. It will also provide additional data to mobile hotspot users.
· CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS: is providing free Spectrum broadband and WiFi internet for the next 60 days to househholds with K-12 students or college students who don’t have a subscription. They are also offering it’s WiFi hot spots free to the public for the next 60 days.
· ATLANTIC BROADBAND: will not terminate service for residential/small business customers due to nonpayment if due to COVID-19. It’s also waiving late fees that customers might occur due to COVID-19.
Utility Companies
· PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC CO.: will halt service disconnections for non-payment for both residential and commercial customers until further notice. They will also offer flexible payment plans for those that indicate they need assistance due to COVID-19
· SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON: is suspending disconnections for nonpayment and waiving late fees for residential and business customers till further notice.
· CONSOLIDATED EDISION: suspended service shut offs for all customers till further notice.
· GEORGIA POWER: suspending residential shutoff for the next 30 days, will reevaluate at that time.
· DUKE ENERGY: suspending disconnection and waiving late fees and deposits at this time till further notice.
· NV ENERGY: suspending disconnections for customers and waiving late fees till further notice.
· PSE&G: is suspending shut offs to residential customers for nonpayment through the end of April and will evaluate continued need.
· ATLANTA GAS LIGHT: suspended shut offs for seven days while it evaluates its options.
· DOMINION ENERGY: has suspended disconnections for nonpayment till further notice.
· NATIONAL GRID: has suspended disconnections for nonpayment till further notice.
· NIPSCO: suspending shutoffs for nonpayment until further notice.
· GREEN MOUNTAIN POWER: Is suspending shutoffs and deferring bill collection at this time till further notice.
FORMULA FOR BABIES: If you have you ran out formula call the 800 number on the can and they will provide a whole case to you during this time.
CAR COMPANIES/RENTALS:
· ENTERPRISE: is reducing the minimum age for renting cars to 18 till May 31st to make it easier for students to get home to their families.
· FORD MOTOR: is offering customers delay of payment to provide relief. It’s also providing new-car buyers the chance to delay their first payment for 90 days.
· HYUNDAI: is reviving it’s Hyundaid Assurance job loss protection program to give owners a peace of mind at this time. It will also provide a similar program to Ford for new car buyers.
INSURANCE COMPANIES:
· GEICO: announced it will not suspend insurance policies at this time for nonpayment and will waive late fees.
· Other insurance companies like Farmers Insurance and State Farm ask you to call a number to find options. We will update if these companies announce similar relief options like GEICO.
